23 June 23 - Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF) Joint Forces Headquarters (JFHQ) in Kuantan, Pahang Darul Makmur was the final destination for the In-Country Field Study (ICFS) Visits for the MAFDC Serial 43/2023. The arrival of the delegation was welcomed by the Chief of Staff (COS) JFHQ, The Honourable Major General Haji Fazal bin Haji Rahman and Major General Dato’ Nur Hafis bin Abdul Karim RMAF as the Assistant Chief of Staff (ACOS) J3.

The visit started with a comprehensive presentation on the roles and functions of JFHQ by the Director of J5, Colonel Anuar bin Md. Shah RMAF and continued with the question-and-answer session. He included the involvement of the JFHQ in managing Peacekeeping Operations (PKO) and deployment of MAF concerning safeguarding the National Area of Interest stipulated in the Defence White Paper (DWP). The presentation also covered the challenges and opportunities faced by JFHQ in ensuring the first pillar in the DWP strategic defence for the country. The visit ended with a luncheon session before the delegation movement back to Putrajaya.
