21 Jun 23 - Course Participants (CP) of Malaysian Armed Forces Defence College (MAFDC) Cohort 43/23 has given the opportunity to visit the Royal Malaysian Navy Naval Region 1 Headquarters in Tanjung Gelang, Kuantan. This visit is part of the In-Country Eastern Region Field Study Visit (ICFS) to East Coast in Terengganu and Pahang from 19-23 June 23. First Admiral Badaruddin bin Taha, the Commandant of MAFDC has taken the lead as the head of delegation.

The CPs has been overwhelmed by the commitment, dedication and professionalim of the Navy People in Tanjung Gelang. A presentation on the roles and functions of the Naval Region 1 as well as the current updates and challenges in the area has been given by Cdr Fadzli bin Abdullah@Hasim, Head of Operation Divison. On top of that, a comprehensive questions and answers session has been personally conducted by First Admiral Shaiful Nizam bin Manan, Deputy Commander Naval Region 1 HQ.

The visit to the naval base was indeed a clearer picture and current updates for all CPs in getting a better understanding on the maritime landscape particularly in the east coast. It is hoped that similar visit will be continued in future for the benefit of the future leaders.
