23rd July 2018 – An Award-giving ceremony to the Best Employee for the Second Quarter of 2018 was held at Dataran Tadbir on 23rd July 2018. The Award aims to honour the employee who had performed well in their job for the second quarter of 2018. The recipient of the award is Encik Mohamad Akhir bin Osman.
On completion of the award giving ceremony, a birthday celebration was held to celebrate 10 staff that were born in the month of May up to Aug. The cake cutting ceremony was graced by the Commandant.
The Malaysian Armed Forces Defence College (MAFDC) Course of 38/2018 conducted Field Study Visit to Boustead Naval Shipyards (BNS) and Royal Malaysian Navy Western Fleet Headquarters (WFHQ) from 15 to 17 August 2018. The delegation of 55 personnel comprises of the Commandant, Members of DS Council, Course Participants and Malaysia National University lecturers. MAFDC field study visit to local defence industry namely Boustead Naval Shipyards (BNS) on 15 Aug 2018.
On the 16 Aug 2018, MAFDC delegation was given opportunity to follow RMN ships sailed to Strait of Melaka for WFHQ monthly sea exercise code name Pangkor War. The delegation had the opportunity witnessing various sea evolutions conducted by RMN ships. Subsequently, the delegation was given a brief on WFHQ’s organisation, task and challenges on 17 Aug 2018.

The Chief of Defence Force, General Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Panglima Hj Zulkifli bin Hj Zainal Abidin delivered his Keynote Address to the Malaysian Armed Forces Defence College Course Participants Serial 38/2018 on 13 Aug 18. The title of his presentation was The Malaysian Armed Forces: Strategies, Capabilities and Challenges. He spent two hours for the presentation including questions and answers session..
3rd May 18 – An Award-giving ceremony to the Best Employee for the First Quarter of 2018 was held at Dataran Tadbir on 3rd May 18. The Award aims to honour the employee who had performed well in their job for the first quarter of 2018. The recipient of the award is Encik Abu Bakar bin Abd Jalil.
On completion of the award giving ceremony, a birthday celebration was held to celebrate 15 staff that were born in the month of Jan up to Apr. The cake cutting ceremony was graced by the Commandant.



The Commandant Lecture Series (CLS) for Malaysian Armed Force Defence College (MAFDC) Course Serial 38/2018 serves as a platform for exchange of information and interaction on strategic, security, defence, leadership and international relations issues with selected prominent individuals. On 14 March 2018, MAFDC was honoured to host the USA Ambassador to Malaysia, H.E Kamala Shirin Lakhdhir, as the guest speaker, accompanied by Capt Brent Sadler, the USA Defence Attaché. She talked on “Foreign Policy Option and Regional Security: The Importance of South East Asia to USA” and followed by a question and answers session.





The first Diners’ Club for MAFDC Course Serial 38/2018 was successfully held on 13 March 2018 at the Bangi-Putrajaya Hotel, Selangor. The guest speaker was Associate Professor Dr Farish Ahmad Noor, Coordinator of PhD Programme, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. He presented a talk entitled “Balancing the Scale between US and China: The Effectiveness of Malaysia's Strategies” followed by questions and answers session. Among the invited guests who attended the event was ACOS Operation and Strategy, RMAF HQ. The Diners’ Club is part of the course program that enabled course participants to interact with prominent personalities on related topics such as security, economic or current national issues in line with regional and global perspectives.




As an ongoing tradition on 1st Mar 18, MAFDC celebrates the Malaysian Army Day. The celebration was hosted by the Commandant, Directing Staff and together with the Course Participants.
The celebration started with the singing of ‘Gagah Setia’, followed by Army montage and finally Cake Cutting Ceremony at Dewan Trisakti. We wish our Army brothers, Happy 85th Malaysian Army Day and Gagah Setia.
