The Graduation Ceremony for MAFDC Serial 38/2018 was held at the Trisakti Hall and officiated by The Defence Minister, YB Tuan Haji Mohamad bin Sabu. This memorable and auspicious ceremony was also witnessed by other dignitaries from the military and civilian including the Course Participants’ spouses.
All 44 CP walked tall and proud during the MAFDC Diploma presentation by The Defence Minister. Three awards were given away to the following CP:
a. The Best MAF CP Award: Cdr Ahmad Sapuan Fathi bin Haji Muhammad RMN.
b. The Best non-MAF CP Award: LTC Sean Duffy Jonathan Galloway (Navy Singapore).
c. The Best Research Project Award: Cdr Thaweesin Kongpraset (Royal Thai Navy).
KUALA LUMPUR - The induction into the Malaysian Armed Forces Defence College Hall of Fame is to recognise and honour graduates of this college who have achieved sterling performance in their career and hold the highest position in their respectives services.
The 10th MAFDC Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony was held at Trisakti Hall on 29 October 2018 for the Chief of Defence Force, Yang Berbahagia General Tan Sri Dato' Seri Panglima Haji Zulkifli bin Haji Zainal Abidin.
General Tan Sri Dato' Seri Panglima Haji Zulkifli bin Haji Zainal Abidin graduated from this prestigious College (MAFDC) in 1999 where he was awarded Master of Social Science in Defence Studies from The National University of Malaysia (UKM).
General Tan Sri Dato' Seri Panglima Haji Zulkifli bin Haji Zainal Abidin was born in Perak on 30th November 1958. He was commissioned as Second Lieutenant on 30th January 1978 into the Royal Malay Regiment. His distinguish army career culminated with his appointment as Chief of Army on 15 June 2011. On 20th June 2018, General Tan Sri Dato' Seri Panglima Haji Zulkifli bin Haji Zainal Abidin was appointed the 20th Chief of Defence Force.
The Commandant, staff and all course participants of MAFDC, together with Fiji Armed Forces course participants, Colonel Onisivoro Niumataiwalu Covunisaqa, celebrated the 48th year of Fiji Independence Day on October 10 in Trisakti Hall.
The celebration started with doa and followed by the national anthem, and a country brief on the Fiji. The event was concluded with a cake cutting ceremony graced by the Commandant and Deputy Commandant together with Colonel Onisivoro Niumataiwalu Covunisaqa. Later, all attendees were treated to the Anniversary Cake at Wisma Kancil.
The Commandant, staff and all course participants of MAFDC, together with Royal Saudi Arabian Armed Forces course participants, Colonel AlDosari Mubarak Mshabab Arfaj, celebrated the 88th Anniversary of the National Day of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on 28 September 2018 in Trisakti Hall.
The celebration started with doa and followed by the national anthem, As-Salam Al-Malakiyy and a country brief on the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The event was concluded with a cake cutting ceremony graced by the Commandant and Deputy Commandant together with Colonel AlDosari Mubarak Mshabab Arfaj. Later, all attendees were treated to the Anniversary Cake at Wisma Kancil.
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia celebrates its 88th National Day on 23 September 2018 to commemorate the unification and founding of the Kingdom at the hands of its founder His Majesty King Abdulaziz Al Saud in 1932, who managed to unite all parts of the Kingdom into a Kingdom today.
The Chief of Defence Force, General Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Panglima Hj Zulkifli bin Hj Zainal Abidin chaired the 54th MAFDC Board of Governor (BOG) meeting on 24 August 2018 (Friday). Among members who attended the board were Chief of Army, Acting Chief of Navy, COS MAF Hq, VC NUM and ACOS Defence Op and Training, MAF Hq. The 54th BOG had been successfully conducted with the intention to set out the overall strategic direction of MAFDC. It is proud to announce that Course Serial 38/2018 break the record with an average of 3.60 CGPA in Semester 1.
In his closing remarks, CDF as chairman of MAFDC BOG extended his appreciation to the Chief of Army who marks his last day in service, Commandant and MAFDC Staff for the successful conduct of the course and BOG members for their continuous contribution.
The Commandant, staff and all course participants of MAFDC Serial 38/2018 together with Indonesian Armed Forces course participant Col Pnb Firman Wirayuda celebrated the 73rd Independence Day of Indonesia at Dewan Trisakti on 21st August 2018. The celebration started with the national anthem, 'Indonesia Raya' and a country brief on the Federal Republic of Indonesia. The event was concluded with a cake cutting ceremony graced by the Commandant and Deputy Commandant together with Col Pnb Firman Wirayuda. Later, all attendees were treated to the anniversary cake and lunch at Wisma Kancil.
The national flag of Indonesia is called 'Sang Saka Merah-Putih' (the sacred red and white) and was unveiled on August 17, 1945. The design is derived from the banner of Majapahit Empire in East Java which ruled in the region before the arrival of the Dutch. The flag consists two equal horizontal stripes; the top red and the bottom white. The red represents courage and the white is purity.
The 3rd Diners’ Club for MAFDC Course Serial 38/2018 was successfully conducted on 14 august 2018 at the InterContinental Hotel, Kuala Lumpur. The guest speaker was Tun Musa Hitam, Chairman of United Malayan Land Berhad. He presented a talk entitled “Nation Transformation: Strategies and Challenges” followed by questions and answers session. Among the invited guests who attended the event was COS of MAF HQ, Deputy secretary General of MINDEF, ACOS Operation and Training of MAF HQ, ACOS Planning and Development of RMN HQ and ACOS Operation and Strategy of RMAF HQ. The Diners’ Club is part of the course program that enabled course participants to interact with prominent personalities on related topics such as security, economic or current national issues in line with regional and global perspectives.
