CONGRATULATORY NOTE FROM THE PATRON

The Malaysian Armed Forces Doctoral Association (MAFDA) was incepted exactly a year ago and I was honoured to be selected as its first Patron. The establishment of MAFDA was to provide academic insights and intellectual opinions on issues pertinent to the complex and challenging demands of national defence. The MAFDA Strategic Plan presented to me encapsulates the importance of formulating more holistic and comprehensive deliberationsin our endeavour to remain as the shield and sword of the nation.

For that purpose, it is imperative that MAFDA continue “to search, to seek, to find and not to yield” in our quest to gain truth and wisdom towards formulating the necessary strategies. Granted the sterling leadership of the President and its Executive Committee supported by an eminent body of members, I am confident that MAFDA will be able to place the Malaysian Armed Forces as ‘First Amongst Equals’ within the brotherhood of professional associations in the country.

On the occasion of MAFDA’s first anniversary on 18 January 2022, I wish the association our heartiest congratulations and heartfelt jubilations.
