ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING AND WORKSHOP ASSOCIATION OF ASIA PACIFIC PEACE OPERATIONS TRAINING CENTERS (AGM AAPTC) 2018

A delegation from MPC had attended the event which was held in Seoul, South Korea from 20 until 25 May 2018. MPC's delegation was headed by the The Honourable Commandant, Kol Padman a/l K.P Bhaskaran and accompanied by Lt Kdr Mohd Fazli bin Jamsuri TLDM.

This is an annual event involving peacekeeping centres around Asian Pasific countries which is dedicated to train and impart the peacekeeping modules towards military personnel, police and civillian who will be deployed to UN's peacekeeping mission areas around the world. This year summit theme was 'Embracing Challenges of Modern Peacekeeping Operations: Opportunities for Asia Pacific Nations'.

A number of 20 countries had participated in this meeting, which was also attended by special guest Lt Gen Carlos Alberto Dos Santos Cruz (Rtd) from Brazil (former MINUSTAH and MUNOSCO Force Commander).

OFFICIAL VISIT BY COMMANDER OF ROYAL BRUNEI ARMED FORCES

PAT Brunei Visit 1 

Malaysian Peacekeeping Center (MPC) was honoured to receive a visit from Maj Gen Pengiran Dato Seri Pahlawan Aminan bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud, Commander of Royal Brunei Armed Forces together with delegations from the RBAF and MAF. After a warm welcome by all the MPC staff, the delegation was given a brief by MPC commandant, a dialogue session and brought on a short facility tour. The event was concluded with the exchange of momentos before the delegation adjourned for the next visit to Malaysian Army Training and Doctrine Headquarters.

TRAIN OF TRAINER PRE-DEPLOYMENT TRAINING COURSE SERIAL 1/18

pdt 1 

Malaysian Peacekeeping Centre successfully conducted the Train of Trainer Pre-Deployment Training Course (ToT PDT) serial 1/18 started from 15 until 26 January 2018. This course was co-organised with Global Peace Operations Initiative (GPOI). There were 26 participants participated in this course, including 16 officers from Malaysian Armed Forces and 10 international with each two from Bangladesh, Indonesia, Mongolia, Nepal and Philippines. Four SME instructors which is 3 from GPOI and one from MPC was involves in this course. They were two from Malaysia and each one from Mongolia and Singapore. The closing ceremony was graced by Brig Gen Dato’ Khairil Asri bin Haji Baharin RMAF, the Director General of Defence Training, Defence Operations and Training Division.

COMMANDANT HANDING OVER CEREMONY

On 8 March 2018, MPC was organised Handing Over Ceremony Prade at MPC Pradesquare. The Prade Commander was Lt Col Sukiman bin Mohamed Ghani. This prade also accompanied by tambor platoon from 8th Royal Ranger Regiment (PARA) led by Drum Major WO II Tubai anak Langok. The Handing Over Ceremony between Lt Col Mohd Hafizar bin Md Idris dan Col Padman a/l K.P. Bhaskaran witnessed by Brigedier Jeneral Dato' Khairil Asri bin Hj Baharin RMAF.
